Dr Emily Smyth-Roberts

MChiro DC MRCC PDAC

Emily qualified as a Chiropractor following 5 years of study doing her Masters at the University of South Wales. She then went on to complete a Professional Diploma of Animal Chiropractic, to add to her portfolio of skills and experience. Having grown up around dogs, riding horses and starting her working life in a pet shop, caring for animals is a passion.

Due to Emily being a qualified chiropractor for both humans and animals, she has a particular interest in treating horse and rider together, to get optimal performance. Similarly with dog and owner, animals majority of the time are hindered by their humans' faults.

Although back pain is typically what most people associate with chiropractors, chiropractic is so much more than that.  On a daily basis, Emily successfully treats a variety of issues, from bad backs to limping limbs. Often an injury can be caused by the most seemingly innocuous actions; fetching a ball, jumping over a fence, or exercising without adequately preparing your animal’s body.  Emily will get to the root cause of the problem, provide a correct diagnosis and treatment plan that is specifically tailored to your pet’s individual needs.

Emily is an instructor at the College of Animal Chiropractic - Options For Animals, which is an accredited course teaching veterinarians and chiropractors.

She is registered with the correct governing bodies; British Veterinary Chiropractic Association, International Veterinary Chiropractic Association, Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners, General Chiropractic Council, and Royal College of Chiropractors. So you can be assured of the highest standards of practise. Emily is dedicated to continuous professional development so she can offer to not only bring relief of pain, but to improve the overall quality of life of patients.

So if you need an Animal Chiropractor based in Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas, please contact ESR Animal Chiropractic today to make an appointment.

"I can’t wait to make your animal feel better with expert education, hands-on chiropractic treatment, and fun rehabilitation". Emily

"Animal chiropractors are fully qualified and registered"

In the UK in order to use the title 'chiropractor', practitioners must be registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). Therefore you need to be fully trained and obtain a recognised qualification.  Animal chiropractors use chiropractic techniques for animals, following additional training over several months and successful qualification.
